Dbacks Win biggest game of the season...... so far

The Durham Diamondbacks came ready to play, a lot was on the line in this first meeting between the newly entered Expos and the Dbacks.

The Game started perfectly for the Diamondbacks, scoring the max seven runs in the first inning. The Expos answered right back with 5 of their own. It became very clear these two teams were evenly matched and would be a tight game all the way through.

Fast forward to the 6th inning both teams deadlocked at 16 runs a piece, The Diamondbacks were able to cash 3 runs when Third base coach "Shirbon" must have thought he had speedster Miguel Desilets on the base path, sending runners around third like there was a fire sale at home plate......... NO OUTS!!!!!!

In the bottom of the 7th and final inning up came former Diamondback James Davis. Davis was unable to connect and with a weak pop fly to 3rd basemen Joe Jackson the game was over. Dbacks win a hell of a game by one run 25-24

I feel like I pitched a gem tonight, had Davis and the Expos guessing all game. I just wish I could be in the outfield and pitch at the same time "Thompson said after the game" Who also hit his first home run of the season.
