7 pm sharp the reigning Clarington Slow Pitch "CSP" Champions took to the field and would not disappoint. Serving up 26 runs in just six innings, the young inexperienced White Sox team never really had a chance.
Matt Fairhart made his Durham Diamondbacks debut, he had an impressive 3-4 night at the plate and just missed a centre field home run by inches. Fairhart helps bring down the avg age of this older D-Backs team and some welcomed speed on the base path.
Jessey Thompson didn't take long to hit his first home run of the season. Thompson also pitched seven strong innings only walking 2 batters.
Impressive hitting by this Durham Diamondbacks team, seven players batting .750 or above with Gucci and SteveO going 5-5 and 4-4 respectively.
