assignment D-backs win as injuries pile up
Monday 8:30PM August 9th, 2021
On this hot and muggy night both teams took a quick breather before starting the second game of the double header. The Diamondbacks came out swinging taking a 7-0 lead into the second inning.
In the third inning Pitcher/outfileder and long time D-BACK Don Cole made a running catch and possibly tore something in his knee. We can only hope it isn't too serious as we await an update, heal up quick Don. Don was removed from the game and placed onto the IR, Sean Roder came into the game to take over right field.
The Diamondbacks did not take the foot off the peddle and would win easily by 8 runs, 18-10, Chris Crossley just missed hitting for the cycle, hitting a home run, a triple, a double and then being intentionally walked.
don't look now but the Durham Diamondbacks are starting to heat up🔥🔥🔥
The real test will come next week when they face off against the second place Renegades.
