first off thanks to I'd Hit That for being an honest team.

The Durham Diamondbacks would face off against IHT for a high scoring affair. Top of the first inning Saunders stepped up to the plate, first pitch a no doubter to left centre "welcome back Saunders". Unfortunately the dbacks would only score one more run in their half of the inning and quickly fall behind 6-2.

In the second inning the Dbacks would go to work scoring the maximum 7 runs in the inning and keeping I'd Hit That off the board. taking a slim lead into the 4th, The Diamondbacks would again score 7 runs. this game was turning into a offensive gem for both sides.

During the 5th inning "holt brought his own........" said some unknown voice from the crowded stands. Yes, yes he did bring his own bat, but did he use his own bat? nope he did not. He did hit a bomb to right, his first of the night.

As time went on the game stayed competitive with both teams putting up 7 runs per inning multiple times. The 6th inning is where the fun was takin from the game, The Dbacks put up a 7 run inning with only one out. as they were walking off the field the umpire calls "last inning last at bats". Now this is definitely not the rule. "3.9 mercy rule" clearly states that the last inning is open.









after the Dbacks 1st baseman quietly and ever so calmly tried to advise the umpire of his error, the ump wasn't having it.... until multiple I'd Hit That players spoke up and told the ump that he indeed was wrong. The Dbacks Veteran slowly walked back to his base and stuck an OFFICIAL CSP rule book back in his back pocket...... mumbling won't have to use it this time.
The decision was made, there would be a 7th inning. Good on I'd Hit That for keeping the integrity of the game. in hind sight if this was not fought for, The Dbacks would have lost 25-22.

The 7th was was one of the Dbacks better innings in recent years, scoring 10 runs and keeping IHT off the score board once again to win the game 33-25.

Boxscore:
