assignment DBACKS 20 VS The Machine 9 W

The Durham Diamondbacks take on the League Presidents team The Machine, two teams that have been very evenly matched over the last few years
With spirits and confidence at an all time high from beating the Combines surely the Machine would not stand a chance.
The game started off without a whole lot of action and before long the first inning was over with the Machine holding onto a 1 run lead 3-2.
In the bottom of the second inning that all changed. When out of the blue (a 'friends" reference there somewhere)
Dressed in Civvies, League President Len Healy, perhaps in a failed attempt at trying to be funny, made the executive call from the stands to intentionally walk league Vice President Jamie Arsenault. That's right, he asked to have his own hand-picked VP intentionally walked, in a regular season game of recreational softball.
Unfortunately Jamie was not completely over being intentionally walked just a couple nights earlier in a game against "One Bad Inning" leading to a middle finger going up in the direction of Machines Dugout.(this is rec softball we are ALL here to play after all)
The Dbacks rallied around this senseless dig at their first baseman, brought 11 players to the plate scoring 8 runs. Never Looking Back.
final score: 22-9 DBACKS
