The Durham Diamondbacks try to finally beat one of the best teams in the league, The combines


Mighty Combines fall to the Dbacks




















The Durham Diamondbacks and Combines were able to start their game a little early because of the quick work The combines made of Recon beating them 19-2. .

To start the game both teams were able to score 4 runs, instantly you could tell this was going to be a close contest. Second inning Combines took a small 9-7 lead. The next three innings would prove to be defensive gems with the Dbacks scoring 2 runs and Combines 1.

In the sixth inning The Combines would widen the lead scoring another 4 runs making it 14-10 going into the seventh and final inning.

It was during this inning the confidence really started to grow, every player in the Diamondbacks dugout believed that they actually had a chance to beat the team that had always beat them with ease. The Dbacks would plate 11 batters and 6 runs and were able to hold combines to just 2 runs. The game was over the Dbacks did it they Beat the Combines for the first time in their history.


Still, there was no loud cheers, screaming or high fiving the Dbacks showed class to one of the most classy teams in the league.
