The Durham Diamondbacks looked great in their first game of the season, facing off against the hometown Pirates, The game was played in 7 innings and only 59 minutes. The Dbacks came away with a decisive 10-1 WIN
Finally the Diamondbacks get to play their first game of the season. After missing back to back games because of rain it seemed frustration was starting to set in.
The visiting Diamondbacks got off to a slow start putting up 0 on the board in the first 3 out of 4 innings. The Pirates would match that, the game was tied 1-1 going into the fifth inning.
The next inning would see 9 Dbacks go to the plate and would take a commanding 6-1 lead
The following inning the Dbacks would score another 4 and would keep the pirates off the score sheet once again. After only 59 minutes the game was over, The Durham Diamondbacks would tie their ALL TIME record against the Pirates, 2-2. Undefeated against them in two years.
No time to enjoy the win, Vickery Electric was sitting, waiting patiently to try and give the Dbacks their first loss of the season in the second game of the Wednesday night double header
